Enhancements are made up of 4 tiers and 3 types. Dusts = t1/2 Novice/Amatuer Powders = t3/4 Apprentice/Initiate Shards = t4 Initiate Crystals = t5 Journeyman Attuning = Refining Resonance = Finishing Focusing = Secondaries When you create items, you can use a number of different enhancements to make the items different or special. Starting with t3, some of these are REQUIRED. Making T1 items, you have a choice to add an attuning dust to the raw materials during refining. This provides the primary stats an item receives when you make it. Making T2 items, on top of using attuning dusts, you may also add resonance dust when finishing the item. You must used enhanced resources to add a resonance dust. This will provide the finished product with 2 stats. The primary stat from the attuning dust is often reduced when resonance dusts are added. Making T3 items, you can add focusing powders to the secondary items before you make the final product. You can no longer use dusts and require powders obtained via work order rewards or through deconstruction. All final products require enhanced raw materials(Vandal\'s Firegrass bolts, etc.). You can no longer make basic final products. T4 uses Attuning powders (same as t3) and resonating/focusing shards. T5 uses Attuning/Focusing/Resonating Crystals. Orbs are used by some recipes to make special items. Outfitter - Distilled Magic - Bandages/Talisman(clickies) Artificer - Pure Magic - Bows Artificer - Distilled Magic - Slates (clickies) Blacksmith - Distilled Matter - T1 nothing, T2+ Runes. Blacksmith - Pure Matter - Horseshoes, T2 Runes(clickies) Tainted Orbs/Spheres of all types have no current use. No Prefix Orb = T2 Shimmering Orb = T3 No Prefix Sphere = T4 Shimmering Sphere = T5 When you deconstruct items, you often get dusts you can\'t use. This might possibly be intentional. As a tailor, I get lots of str/dex dusts that I have little or no use for. I have not gotten one cloak dust from deconstruction myself. Other classes seem to have a better chance of getting them. So if you don\'t get what you need, don\'t complain... TRADE. Indigo, Moss, and Auburn dust are vendor rewards from work orders. They aren\'t usable in recipes. Please post mistakes or changes I can make to this, or suggestions to improve it. Do not post bug claims or rants about how the system works. There are plenty of posts with those topics to post in. I know that not all powder(and others) are labeled correctly. Also, T3 (and up?) recipes say that basic refined materials will work, but they don\'t.
